Know Palestine

A Painting Titled "Land of Resistance"

Do you see what I see?

Thick smoke, ambulances, body parts under the rubble, an ice-cream freezer turned into a morgue because of the constant power cuts in the Gaza Strip, pitch darkness, utter stillness — whoever survived the horror is searching for a safe place for themselves and their children.

Yes!

There is nowhere left but the hospitals. The enemy knows where they are, but surely it will think a thousand times before striking a hospital in the name of terrorism.
Families take their children and crowd into those hospitals; perhaps they will be the lifeboat in the sea of blood that Israel has made.

In the middle of the night, the terrified bodies of children calm down in the arms of what is left of their families, while at the end of the corridor a child embraces emptiness, for no one in his family is left.
Perhaps he survived to be the root that will be planted in safe, fertile land, and the root will grow into a new tree bearing the family name.

A scene repeated for 75 years on the land of Palestine, the land of resistance, and especially in wounded Gaza, with a deep wound that has been bleeding for more than 17 years, since the siege Israel imposed on this resisting strip.
The scene is cut by the thunderous sound of one of the occupier's bombs, which falls on the sleeping bodies in the hospital corridors, on the wounded and on the doctors.
So many of the wounded in that hospital were children and women; their frail bodies could not withstand the destruction falling on them, and they are the first guests of those hospitals — as wounded, as corpses, or perhaps as remains.
With everything in it, the hospital became a new graveyard by the force and impact of the bomb!

More than a thousand martyrs fell that day, half of them children whose frail bodies could not withstand the force of the shell and were torn apart!!
An absurd scene repeated every time war breaks out on the Gaza Strip, but this time the world saw what happened — yet the occupier's lying mouths, chattering in the ears of the West and the world, presented the scene as a crime committed by the resistance. Really!!

An absurd scene repeated whenever war breaks out on the Gaza Strip, but this time the whole world saw it.
Even so, the occupier's lying mouths, whispering in the ears of the West, presented the scene to the world as a crime committed by the resistance. Really!

What do you think of this painting? It was painted with a brush made especially in America, and the blood of the martyrs was used to paint this scene with murderous creativity.
From the land of resistance, and from the heart of this scene repeated over the years, hope is made despite the pain, and steadfastness is born despite the bleeding wound, inside every Palestinian destined to live this reality.

We tell you about "Habiba", one of the children of the camps, where her family was forced to seek refuge after being displaced from their original homes.

The camps were Habiba's small world, where she painted her first pictures in bright colours: "I love Palestine".

This is how Habiba began her artistic journey, expressing her love for her land and her identity — the "identity" that America and Israel agreed to erase by branding her people as terrorists and giving the green light to wipe out the people of Gaza, who in the eyes of the world are a handful of terrorists threatening the security of the so-called State of Israel. When you learn the history of this state, you will find only blood!
Its history has been written in the blood of the children and women of occupied Palestine since the year of the Nakba.

Eight-year-old Habiba was one of the children of Gaza who escape the pain of war through a small talent with which they weave their future.
The dreams of those little ones revolve around a free homeland and a free soul with the right to live on its own land, not inside the prison of the camps that its enemy chose for it.

As for Habiba, her dream was to speak English fluently so she could carry the suffering of the Gaza Strip to the whole world, and to become a doctor when she grew up to help those wounded in the war.
She used to attend the international meetings her mother held with human rights organisations, preparing for her role in the community towards the Palestinian people.
She was full of initiative and generosity, loved everyone and expressed her love with hugs, so her mother nicknamed her "the hugger".
Despite the pain and suffering of the children of the camps, Habiba carried in her heart simple wishes and dreams, through which she wanted to express the reality and suffering of her people.

Two years ago, Habiba shared her first drawing about Palestine on her personal account, writing "I love Palestine", with a drawing expressing the world she wished for. That was the beginning of the artistic journey she decided to follow to carry her voice and her people's suffering to the world.

On the seventh day of the war, frightened by the sounds of bombs and shelling, she picked up her paintbrush and colours, brushed her hair with the paintbrush and said: I am an artist, I will express what I feel through drawing.
Then she drew a television, the Palestinian flag and herself inside the television frame, reporting the news of the war, absorbed in her drawing.

In a tragic moment, the occupation's bombs took her, together with her dreams and ambitions, and gave her no chance to fulfil them. Habiba's world was torn apart on 14 October 2023, for no fault other than being born into a world that justice ignored and that was deprived of safety and peace.

Between 7 and 31 October 2023, more than 3,000 children were martyred by the occupation's bombs, along with more than 5,000 Palestinians including women and the elderly, whose lives revolved around a free Palestinian homeland whose people breathe the air of freedom and justice called for by the "human rights" organisations.
Habiba was not just a number. Habiba was an innocent child with dreams, but in a moment beyond description her world was torn apart, and the enemy's bombs took her dream and her wishes and threw them far away, mercilessly, as remains!

Yes, remains!
Habiba's body, torn apart, was recovered from one of the camps during the war on Gaza in October 2023.

We speak about Habiba to remember her and to address the mind and heart of every free person in the world.
We address the absent mother who supports the occupier: what if Habiba were your daughter — what would you do?
We address the Western father, who knows his children's rights and might remove politicians from office if they harmed his children: what if Habiba were your daughter?
We address the man of the church who speaks of mercy and faith in the human being: do you know? Habiba was a child who deserved to be seen, with the children of Palestine, through the eyes of mercy.
We address the Western media that chatter with lies: we know you have a conscience, a mind and a heart. It is time to take a stand and stop being mere puppets in the festival of blood in Gaza.
We address the politicians who condemn what is happening in the name of eliminating terrorism: do you condemn the actions of Israel, whom you know well to be war criminals? And that Hamas are men of resistance protecting their land, their women and their children from the Zionist usurpers of homelands.

Habiba is not passing news, but breaking news!

Breaking news!! 3,500 children were killed in less than a month.
Respect the dreams of the children of Gaza who remain, and let us work for a world in which the land of hope is wide enough to embrace the people of Gaza, so that the dreams and future of that land's children may blossom again.
